OAKMAN – The Collinsville Panthers used a 7-run top of the fourth inning to distance themselves from Oakman in a 16-5 baseball win on Friday.
The Panthers (6-1) pounded out seven doubles in the game. Gavin Lang led Collinsville by going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, three runs, and four RBIs.
Mason McAteer and Sylas Adams were both 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and three runs. Brantley Daugherty went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, a run, and two RBIs. Bronner Jones was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Noah Johnson doubled, walked twice, scored a run, and had four RBIs. Jeremiah Killian had a hit and walked three times.
Daugherty earned the win after working 4 1/3 innings. He gave up two earned runs on five hits with four walks and four strikeouts.
