Eastaboga Woman Injured in Single-Vehicle Crash on Highway 77 in Etowah County
ETOWAH COUNTY — An Eastaboga woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening on Alabama Highway 77 in Etowah County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the crash occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m. on March 4. Authorities said 65-year-old Delene R. Layne was injured when the 2025 Buick Envista she was driving left the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.
Layne was transported to Riverview Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
The accident occurred on Alabama 77 near Miller Hollow Road, approximately six miles west of Attalla.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the incident. Nothing further is available at this time.
