Dothan Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Attalla

Attalla — A Dothan man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Etowah County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Bobby N. Clayton, 43, was fatally injured when the 2000 Dodge Caravan he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned. Clayton was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred at approximately 4:35 p.m. Thursday, March 5, on Alabama 179 near Shady Grove Road, about five miles northwest of Attalla.

Nothing further is available at this time as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
