Sand Rock’s Clanton leads Class 2A, Area 13 girls basketball all-area selections

The Class 2A, Area 13 girls basketball coaches recently selected their all-area team. Sand Rock’s Maddie Clanton was chosen as the Most Valuable Player. The junior forward averaged 16.1 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, and 2.5 steals per contest last season for the Lady Wildcats (23-11).

Joining Clanton from Sand Rock is Molly Grace Lay, Macey Pruitt, Hadlie Weaver, and Kaylee Burns.

Cedar Bluff (20-12) has three selections in Kylie Vadon, Janaya Higgins, and Ciana Smith. Gaston has a pair of selections in Avril McKiven and Brooklyn Merriman.
