GADSDEN POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, has claimed the life of a Remlap man. Donald T. Hansard, 57, was fatally injured when the 2010 Toyota Corolla he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Hansard was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Etowah County 41 near Lagoon Road, approximately one mile north of Altoona, in Etowah County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
