DEKALB COUNTY, Ala.– Crossville Man Arrested Following Shooting in Whiton Community

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says a Crossville man has been arrested and charged with assault following a Thursday shooting incident.

Authorities report that David D. Lara-Duran, 41, of Crossville, was arrested and charged with first-degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.

According to investigators, deputies were notified Thursday after a DeKalb County man arrived at Marshall Medical Center South suffering from a gunshot wound.

After interviewing the victim, investigators identified a suspect and traveled to an address on Road 9046 in the Whiton Community to make contact with Lara-Duran. Following further investigation, deputies arrested him at the scene.
