In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Truitt Alford, age 50 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of probation revocation as well as for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Kenneth Jeter, age 49 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 3rd degree domestic violence.

Melissa Barron, age 41 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of conditional release violation.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 78 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
