Mr. Dakota Gene Bright, age 18, of Cedar Bluff, passed away February 18, 2026 at his residence.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Perry Funeral Home from 12 noon to 1pm.  The service will follow at 1pm in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Gail Sharp speaking.

Dakota is survived by parents, Danny & Janice Bright; aunts and uncles,  Dale and Imogene Woodall, and Michael Fitts; sisters, Tina Bright, Christy Parkerson, and Amy Strickland; nephews, Dakota Gage Hogue and Malachi Gabriel Hogue; nieces, Samantha Lynn Rogers, Peyton Danyale Martin; and chosen niece and nephew, Declan Cade Rogers and Stella Faith Rogers; as well as his biological parents, Billy Gene  and Sarah Elizabeth Fitts.

Dakota was a recent graduate of Gaylesville High School.

The family will accept flowers.
