A donated pontoon boat is being offered for sale to benefit Kelly’s Rainbow, a domestic violence shelter serving survivors and their children in Cherokee, DeKalb and Marshall counties.
The boat was donated by a generous Cherokee County resident, and all proceeds from the sale will go directly to support Kelly’s Rainbow and the families it serves.
The 20-foot pontoon boat has been owned by two Cherokee County families. It includes six seats and can accommodate two additional passengers. The boat is powered by a Johnson 50-horsepower motor but will need a tune-up after being stored in a covered boathouse in Cherokee County. No trailer is included with the sale.
The original owners paid $10,000 for the boat. The special fundraiser asking price is $1,500.
Anyone interested in viewing the boat or seeking more information may contact Anne Shumaker at 256-523-2228 or 256-706-9921.
All proceeds will benefit Kelly’s Rainbow shelter and help support survivors of domestic violence as they rebuild their lives.
