Georgia High Speed Pursuit Vehicle Crashes in Cherokee County

Georgia authorities were trying to stop a Chevrolet Pickup truck Friday evening when the driver failed to stop a high speed pursuit began. The suspect drove the truck into Cherokee County on County road 99. The vehicle crashed near the intersection county road 41 in the Broomtown Community. According to reports the truck overturned with one occupant pinned under the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle fled on foot.

The subject was removed from under the vehicle and transported to a hospital for treatment by Atrium Floyd EMS.

Cherokee County Sheriff Deputies were on the scene to assist Chattooga County Deputies with Alabama State Troopers investigating the crash.
