Etowah County man charged with multiple SORNA violations
Gadsden-An Etowah County man has been arrested and charged with multiple violations of the Alabama Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), according to the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Jonathon Horton said Tyreek Williams, 26, of Gadsden, was arrested following an investigation into his compliance with sex offender registration requirements.

Authorities allege that between Nov. 27, 2025, and Feb. 11, 2026, Williams established a prohibited residence without reporting in person to law enforcement as required by law. Investigators also determined he frequently conducted overnight visits at his girlfriend’s residence, where she lives with her minor children.
As a result, Williams has been charged with three counts of SORNA violation. He was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and is being held on a $7,500 bond.
Sheriff Horton said the sheriff’s office takes SORNA compliance seriously and will pursue enforcement action when individuals fail to meet registration requirements or place themselves in prohibited situations.
