Wildfire Reported in Talladega County; Firefighters Working to Contain Blaze

Talladega County-A wildfire is burning in Talladega County, with firefighters from the U.S. Forest Service working to bring the blaze under control.

WEIS has confirmed the fire after contacting the Talladega Ranger District. Officials say the wildfire has burned approximately 300 acres so far, and crews remain on the scene battling the flames. Additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.

The fire is located north of Union T Road and Fox Trot Road. Authorities say smoke from the wildfire may be visible and could travel throughout the surrounding area.

Residents and visitors are being asked to avoid the area to allow firefighters clear access as suppression efforts continue. Updates will be provided as more information is released.
