Ms. Virginia Morris

Ms. Virginia Morris, age 80 of Centre, passed away on February 8, 2026, at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Hale officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Virginia retired from Fruit of the Loom in Leesburg in the 2000s. From there, she went into convenience store work at the Grub Mart for 20 years, then spent her last working days at the Coosa Corner in Leesburg. She loved working with the public and people. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a friend to many.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Alan) Benefield; son, Brian (LeighAnn) Roberts; daughter-in-law, Emilie Roberts; brother, Terry Agan; grandchildren, Joshua (Marina) Langley, Daniel (Kiera) Malin, Austin (Bailee) Mallett, Mackenzie (Hunter) Graham, Maddie Roberts, Dylan (Jessica) Benefield and Tyler (Emily) Benefield; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Amelia, Roden, Hannah (Jessie), Haley, Mya (Chauncey), Joshua, Johnathan, Scott, Mia, Elijah, Elliot, Ezrah, Emilie, Jalen, Melanie, Jessie Jr., Lillie, Sophia, Henry, Cash, Sophia, Ella, Presley and Braylen; and chosen children, Kelley Glover, Stephanie Collins, Misty Ingram and Jason Mallett.

Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Benefield, Jason Mallett, A. J. Roberts, Bubba Johnston, Austin Mallett, and Terry Agan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Kelley; son, Scott Roberts; and sisters, Linda Butterworth, Martha Cook and Wannette Agan.

The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home to help offset funeral costs.
