Temps Above Freezing For A Few Hours

Today’s temperatures broke above freezing at noon for the first time since Friday. With subfreezing temperatures and strong winds producing wind chills in the single digits and near zero, the northeast Alabama area has certainly been in the deep freeze. Although the temps above the freezing mark will be short lived, it was nice to enjoy the milder temps and less wind this afternoon. The temperatures will dip back down below freezing again tonight with temps expected near 18. Monday afternoon temperatures should rise to near 50 and Tuesday afternoon temps near 60. The next couple of days will certainly be much milder in the afternoons with the overnight lows remaining in the mid 20 degree range for the week.
