Boaz’s 3-point shooting too strong for Warriors

CENTRE – The Boaz Pirates sank 10 3-pointers, leading to a 66-56 basketball victory at Cherokee County on Friday, the Warriors’ senior night.

Logan Williams led the Pirates with 22 points, including three 3-pointers. Tyson Hamilton tallied 18 points, including four treys. Landon Cannady came away with 11 points.

Toby Hamilton and Jaiden Durden both finished with six points. Toby Hamilton’s points came on a pair of treys.

Tatum Perry topped the Warriors with 16 points. He sank four treys in the second quarter. Alex Rogers netted nine points and Jayquan Diamond delivered eight points.

Owen Jacoway and Daniel Neyman both had six points. Neyman had a pair of 3-pointers.

Cooper Allen finished with five points.

Boaz built a 27-13 advantage at the end of the first quarter and held a 39-29 edge at halftime. The Pirates led 59-47 at the end of three quarters.
