HOKES BLUFF — Molly Grace Lay rang for 20 points, but the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats fell short at Hokes Bluff 59-50 in basketball action on Thursday.
Kaylee Burns contributed eight points for Class 2A, No. 4 Sand Rock (17-10). Macey Pruitt and Maddie Clanton had seven points and eight rebounds respectively. Hadlie Weaver and Paitlyn Hughes both finished with four points.
Addison Simmons scored a game-high 28 points to lead Hokes Bluff. Madelyn Ball finished with 16 points.
Sand Rock travels Spring Garden on Saturday.
