The Rome Police Department is asking the public to help them locate a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a West Rome teen last fall.
Treveonsay Tre-Jion Burge, 22, is wanted on felony murder charges in the killing of Adam Taylor Hernandez, 18, in West Rome on the morning of Oct. 21, 2025.
Police responding to a call found Hernandez lying unresponsive in the road near the intersection of Creekstone Circle and Woodcreek Way with a gunshot wound to the head. A backpack and cellphone were nearby, as well as several buds of suspected marijuana.
“This investigation is very much ongoing. Two individuals are in custody, but we are still actively searching for Treveonsay Burge, who has now been placed on the top 10 Most Wanted list,” RPD Criminal Investigations Division Capt. Danny Story said. “We believe someone in our community may have information that can help locate him.”
RPD previously arrested two suspects in the case, including the girlfriend of one of the suspects. They were identified as Brandon Charles Griffin, 20, and Kimora Heath, 18.
Heath has been released on bond, and Griffin is facing other charges in Alabama, according to police officials.
“We ask the public to contact law enforcement or submit an anonymous tip if they know anything about (Burge’s) whereabouts,” Story said. “Your cooperation is critical to ensuring accountability and justice in this case.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the RPD tip line at 706-238-5111 or the crime tip line at 706-236-5000. Callers may remain anonymous.
