Anniston Police Name Officer Matthew Martin 2025 Officer of the Year

Anniston-The Anniston Police Department has named Officer Matthew Martin as its 2025 Officer of the Year, recognizing his outstanding service, dedication, and commitment to public safety.

Officer Martin has served with the Anniston Police Department for the past three years, working in the Patrol Division where he has consistently demonstrated a high level of professionalism, work ethic, and initiative. Department leadership noted that Officer Martin approaches each shift with a positive attitude and a strong readiness to serve, while routinely going above and beyond his assigned duties.

In addition to his patrol responsibilities, Officer Martin is a member of the department’s Special Response Team, where he has shown notable professional growth and dependability. His proactive policing style and willingness to assist fellow officers have made a meaningful impact on both departmental operations and the safety of the Anniston community.
