Mrs. Linda Davis Moore, age 84, of Centre, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Kevin Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Community Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Scott King, John Michael Sewell, James Sewell, Ashley Nixon, Will Nixon, and Sam Nixon. Mrs. Moore is survived by her loving husband, John R. Moore; daughters, Susan King (Scott) and Jennifer Nixon (Ashley); grandchildren, John Michael Sewell, James Sewell (Claudia), Skyler King (Amanda), Zack King, Olivia Nixon, Will Nixon, and Sam Nixon; and great- grandchildren, Lucy Mae Sewell, William King, Hayleigh Perez, and Alex Perez.
She was a lifelong native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Luther Buel Davis and Wilma Orr Davis. Mrs. Moore was a devoted member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was a proud supporter of Cherokee County youth sports, known for transporting carloads of children to games and cheering enthusiastically from the sidelines. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and dedication to her family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cedar Hill United Methodist Church. Perry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
