City of Rome Delays Office Openings Due to Winter Weather

ROME, Ga.– Due to forecasted winter weather, City of Rome administrative offices will open late at 10:00 am on Monday, January 26. The Rome Transit Department will also delay operations, with bus service beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Floyd County Emergency Management reports moderate storm impacts are expected, including ice accumulation of up to one-half inch starting Saturday, followed by dangerously cold temperatures through Monday morning.

Residents are urged to stay informed and take necessary precautions as conditions develop. City officials say they will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates as needed.
