ANNISTON, Ala.– The Anniston Police Department has announced the promotion of three members of its team, effective January 23rd.

Chris Trammell has been promoted from Corporal to Sergeant. Trammell has served the department for 13 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management from Jacksonville State University. He has worked in both the Patrol and Investigative divisions and has served in several roles with the Special Response Team, where he is currently assistant commander.

Thomas Freckman has been promoted from Sergeant to Lieutenant. With 12 years of service, Freckman has worked in patrol as both an officer and shift sergeant, as well as in investigations. He also served four years on the Special Response Team as a negotiator and later as team leader.

Brett Lloyd has been promoted from Lieutenant to Captain. Lloyd has 17 years of service and holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Jacksonville State University and a Master of Public Administration from Columbia Southern University. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy. His assignments have included patrol, investigations, administration and six years on the Special Response Team.
The department congratulated all three officers and thanked them for their continued dedication to the City of Anniston.
