Mr. Alan Russell “Rusty” Winslow, age 64 of Gaylesville, passed away on January 18, 2026, at AdventHealth Redmond Hospital in Rome, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Debra M. Winslow; father, Murry Cherry; brother, Bobby Cherry; children, Russell Winslow, Melissa Winslow and Jessica Winslow; grandchildren, Jacob Brown, Bentley Winslow, Blaze Winslow, Caia Cunningham, Chevelle Edwards and Natasha Bryant.

Rusty was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the Legionnaries. He loved to fish, hunt, shoot darts and play horseshoes. His world revolved his grandchildren. He loved music and played the guitar and the harmonica. Rusty loved being with friends of which he had so many, he was always the life of the party. He loved to make others laugh and would help anyone that he could. He was married to the love of his life Debra for 35 years. Rusty will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wynette Cherry; and his brother, Casey Winslow.
