In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

William Maxwell, age 47 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of 4th degree theft of property.

Jonathan Nicholson, age 39 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 83 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
