Deputies Arrest Woman After Recovering Stolen Vehicle in Sand Valley Community
Saturday, Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to County Road 63 and County Road 540 about a suspicious vehicle. When they arrived, the vehicle was empty. The owner later arrived and told deputies the vehicle should have been at his residence. Deputies determined that the vehicle had been stolen and continued their investigation, which ultimately led to the identification of a suspect.

Deputies later found the suspect nearby and arrested her. She was identified as Ginger Mills Duckworth, 56, of Centre. Duckworth was charged with Theft of Property First degree and transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center. The vehicle was later returned to the owner.
