Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Releases December Activity Report

Cherokee County-The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has released its patrol and service statistics for December, highlighting a busy month of law enforcement activity across the county.

According to the report, deputies responded to a total of 411 calls for service during the month. In the course of those responses, the Sheriff’s Office completed 95 incident and offense reports and made 11 warrantless arrests.

Deputies also carried out significant court-related duties in December, including 78 civil attempts and the successful service of 123 civil papers. In addition, 70 warrants were served throughout the county.

Patrol operations remained extensive, with deputies logging 613 trip miles and a total of 31,934 miles patrolled during the month. Officials noted that these patrol efforts span nearly 600 square miles of land and water, reflecting the wide geographic responsibility of the agency.

Sheriff Jeff Shaver emphasized the office’s ongoing commitment to public safety and quality of life for county residents.

“The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is committed to servicing nearly 600 square miles of land and water in efforts to improve quality of life and keep all citizens safe,” Shaver stated.

The Sheriff’s Office says the December statistics reflect the continued dedication of deputies and staff to maintaining public safety, enforcing the law, and providing essential services to the citizens of Cherokee County.
