
ROME, Ga.– Atrium Health Floyd has named Sarah Husser as director of the FloydSpirit Foundation.
FloydSpirit Foundation is the new name for Atrium Health Floyd’s Floyd Healthcare Foundation and serves as the organization’s fundraising and community philanthropy arm. The foundation works to raise funds and develop programs that support the mission of Atrium Health Floyd and its affiliates.
Husser previously served as the foundation’s development officer and as fundraising and outreach coordinator for Cancer Navigators. In her new role, she will oversee fundraising efforts, promote community awareness, and work to secure financial support for Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center and related programs.
She will also collaborate with Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation President Dan Bevels to advance health initiatives across the communities served by Atrium Health Floyd.
Husser has worked at Atrium Health Floyd for the past eight years. Prior to joining the health system, she served as director of the Gordon County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication and is active in several community organizations in the Rome-Floyd area.
Husser and her husband, Rome attorney John Scott Husser Junior, have two children.
