SAND ROCK – Will Cleere rang for 25 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and had four steals in Sand Rock’s 60-24 area basketball win over Gaston on Friday.
Jonas Browder contributed 13 points, two steals, and an assist for the Wildcats (15-5). Thomas Snead delivered eight points, four rebounds, four steals, and two assists. Elijah Hood finished with seven points, four rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
Tavis Brown led the Bulldogs with 10 points. Silas Holland and Brantley Pruitt both finished with five points.
Sand Rock held a 16-6 advantage at the end of the first quarter and built a 29-15 lead at halftime. The Wildcats led 56-20 edge at the end of three quarters.
