SPRING GARDEN – Maya Jennings sank four 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 22 points. She also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out an assist in leading the Spring Garden Lady Panthers to a 58-22 area basketball victory over visiting Gaylesville on Tuesday.

Laci Jo McMurray managed 14 points, five rebounds, four steals, three assists, and two blocks for the Lady Panthers. Addie Word added 11 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block. Carmen Truss finished with four points, six rebounds, and a pair of steals.

Abbie Bishop led Gaylesville with nine points. Lydia Reynolds finished with six points.

Spring Garden jumped out to a 29-2 advantage in the first quarter and held a 38-16 lead at halftime. The Lady Panthers led 50-20 at the end of three quarters.

Spring Garden is at Faith Christian on Thursday. Gaylesville is at Jacksonville Christian.
