CENTRE – Brooklynn Bruce sank five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points, four rebounds, and a pair of steals. Nevaeh Gaidurgis grabbed 22 rebounds, scored 14 points, dished out three assists, and blocked a shot in leading the Cherokee County Lady Warriors to a 67-44 area basketball win over visiting Alexandria on Tuesday.
Ellisan Givens also rang for 14 points to go along with six assists and four rebounds for the Lady Warriors (17-2). Deannia Starr delivered eight points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two blocks. Macy Lea connected on a pair of treys and had six points.
Charlee Parris topped the Lady Cubs with 16 points. Kate Walker connected on a pair of 3-pointers and had 11 points. Cali Hess finished with six points.
Cherokee County held a 22-18 advantage at the end of the first quarter and built a 35-26 edge at halftime. The Lady Warriors led 52-36 at the end of three quarters.
Cherokee County travels to Sand Rock on Thursday.
