CHATTOOGA COUNTY, Ga.- Deputies responded to a domestic dispute that ended in a shooting on Sunday night.

According to Sheriff Mark A. Schrader, deputies were dispatched around 9:30 p.m. to a residence on Highway 337 north of Chelsea. Upon arrival, deputies found a male who had been shot during the incident. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Sheriff Schrader said the shooter remained on the scene and was cooperative with deputies and investigators. No further details were released.

Authorities said additional information would be provided as the investigation continues.
