Investigators with the Alabama Highway Patrol Division returned to the scene of a fatal crash in Cherokee County on Saturday to reconstruct the accident, as best they can, to try to determine what caused the collision claiming the lives of 26 year old Jasmine Agan and 25 year old Thomas Agan of Cedar Bluff on New Year’s Day.
The investigators closed a portion of Alabama Highway 9 north of Centre on the causeway between Centre and Cedar Bluff while they did their work.
They were assisted by local law enforcement with the traffic control while the troopers investigated the accident scene.
A 16 year old male driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash was critically injured and was airlifted to emergency unit of UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.
