Gleen pours in 30 points to lead Cedar Bluff boys past Appalachian

GADSDEN — Shon Gleen tossed in a game-high 30 points, including three 3-pointers, to lead the Cedar Bluff Tigers to a 67-55 basketball victory over Appalachian in the Gaston Christmas Tournament on Saturday.

Kuper Bradley sank a pair of treys and had 12 points for the Tigers. Keondre Wynn added nine points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Zyrese Wynn and Zach Jones both finished with six points.

Braden Gilliland led Appalachian with 13 points. Gavin Benson tallied 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Levi Black came away with seven points. Gage Putman and Ian Patterson both finished with six points. Patterson’s points came on a pair of 3-pointers.

The two teams were tied at 12 at the end of the first quarter. Cedar Bluff built a 33-23 lead at halftime. The Tigers led 45-39 at the end of three quarters.
