DESTIN, Fla. – Despite holding 6-foot-9 center Athiei Dhal to 15 points, the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats struggled to score in a 46-34 setback to Freeport, Fla., in the Hilton Sandestin Beach Blowout Basketball Tournament on Saturday.
Hadlie Weaver had 10 points to lead the Lady Wildcats (10-4). Maddie Clanton collected seven points and 17 rebounds. Paitlyn Hughes had six points. Kaylee Burns finished with four points and nine boards.
Sand Rock plays William Blount, Tenn., on Monday.
