Cedar Bluff girls sink 10 3-pointers, rout Appalachian in Gaston Christmas Tournament

GADSDEN – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers sank 10 3-pointers in a 64-34 basketball victory over Appalachian in the Gaston Christmas Tournament on Saturday.

Kylie Vadon led the Lady Tigers with 31 points, including three treys. She also had 10 rebounds, three steals, an assist, and a block.

Janaya Higgins drained four treys and had 13 points with six rebounds, and two steals. Ciana Smith added 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, with 11 rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Vana Martin finished with six points, seven assist, six rebounds, and a steal.

Karen Arazo led Appalachian with 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Charlie Payne finished with nine points.

Cedar Bluff jumped out to a 17-6 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a 32-18 edge at halftime. The Lady Tigers led 49-26 after three quarters.

Cedar Bluff plays Coosa, Ga., in the tournament on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
