Pam’s first and foremost love was to her Lord. Her entire life revolved around serving others. After 45 years of working as a dental hygienist, her love for her patients kept her working even after her “retirement”. Her love for music was evident as she played the piano for over 55 years at her church and served for over 25 years on the New Oregon Methodist Church’s Mission team. Her solitude and peace were often found being outdoors, but nothing was more special to her than her love for the beach. Despite all these many ways of service to her community, the true passion of her heart was supporting her family. For the past decade, Pam was always found at sporting events where her grandchildren were playing, no matter the distance. To summarize, Pam’s life was this, she laid it down to always tend to others needs above her own. In the Gospel of John Jesus said this, and this embodies Pam’s life, “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Community Church’s Mission Fund, 230 County Rd 26, Centre, AL 35960 or to the New Oregon Methodist Church Mission Team, 1204 New Oregon Drive, Ft. Payne, AL 35967.
