Family Savings Credit Union Donation Secures Mission Control Naming Opportunity at Challenger Learning Center of Northeast Alabama

Rainbow City, Ala. — The Challenger Learning Center of Northeast Alabama is pleased to
announce a transformative $375,000 gift from Family Savings Credit Union, establishing Family
Savings Credit Union Mission Control in perpetuity.

This significant investment reflects Family Savings Credit Union’s long-standing commitment to
education, workforce development, and community advancement throughout Northeast
Alabama. Through this naming opportunity, Family Savings Credit Union will be permanently
recognized within the Challenger Learning Center’s Mission Control—an immersive, space-
themed learning environment where middle school students engage in real-world STEM roles,
collaborate as a team, and solve complex challenges during simulated space missions.

Mission Control is central to Challenger’s educational programming, serving students from a 12-
county region in Northeast Alabama. The facility supports STEM curriculum aligned with state
education standards and introduces students to careers in science, technology, engineering,
and mathematics—helping to build a strong and sustainable regional workforce pipeline.
