Three Sand Rock boys reach double figures in basketball win over Spring Garden

SAND ROCK – Wyatt Miller led three Sand Rock basketball players in double figures with 15 points. He also grabbed six rebounds and had a steal in leading the Wildcats to a 62-42 victory over Spring Garden on Friday night.

Will Cleere collected 14 points and four rebounds for Sand Rock (8-3). Jonas Browder contributed 13 points, six assists, and two rebounds. Jaxon Bruce added nine points, three rebounds, and an assist. Thomas Snead finished with five points, three assists, three steals, and two rebounds.

Brody Bostick topped Spring Garden (2-5) with 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Noah Carnes netted nine points on three treys. Brady Ruark and Zane Edwards finished with seven and five points respectively.

Sand Rock led 17-13 at the end of the first quarter and built a 33-17 advantage at halftime. The Wildcats held a 45-31 edge after three quarters.

Sand Rock takes on Chattooga (Ga.) in the Cherokee Invitational at Gaylesville on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Spring Garden battles Saks in the Invitational at 10:30 a.m.
