Fall 2025 Anniston EMT Class Set to Graduate December 18

CALHOUN COUNTY, Ala.- Congratulations to the Fall 2025 Anniston Emergency Medical Technician class. Graduation is scheduled for Thursday, December 18.

The Emergency Medical Services Program prepares students for careers in pre-hospital emergency medicine, focusing on the knowledge, skills, and professional behavior needed to succeed in the field. Graduates are trained to provide emergency medical care to the sick and injured as licensed medical professionals.

The program offers four levels of training: Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic. Students work toward an Associate in Applied Science degree, with multiple exit points along the way. EMT training is completed in one semester, Advanced EMT requires an additional semester, and Paramedic training spans three more semesters and results in the AAS degree.

Program officials report a 100 percent job placement rate for EMS graduates over the past three years.

EMS courses are taught at the Wallace Drive Campus, the Anniston Fire Training Center, and Gadsden State Cherokee, with clinical training sites located across northeast Alabama, including Anniston, Gadsden, Centre, Fort Payne, Oxford, and Piedmont.

Again, congratulations to the Fall 2025 Anniston EMT graduating class.
