VIP Care Celebrates Ribbon Cutting in Cherokee County

CENTRE, Ala.– A Cherokee County healthcare provider officially welcomed community leaders and residents during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held December 16, 2025, marking the opening of VIP Care’s local office.

Chamber of Commerce President Joy Perry thanked VIP Care staff for their commitment to rural healthcare, emphasizing the importance of accessible, high-quality medical services in Cherokee County. Perry said the organization’s strong reputation and focus on patient care make it a valuable addition to the community.

Local officials, business leaders, healthcare professionals, and chamber board members were in attendance, including Cedar Bluff Mayor Bill Warren and Centre Mayor Jay Howell, along with representatives from area media outlets, financial institutions, home health agencies, and the legal and agricultural communities.

VIP Care representatives said the clinic is staffed by experienced providers, including certified nurse practitioners Shelli Gilbreath, CNRP, and April Connell, CNRP, who bring years of clinical experience in caring for senior patients. The office is managed by Amy Hurley, office manager, who oversees daily operations and patient services.

The practice primarily serves seniors ages 65 and older and accepts Medicare, traditional Medicare, and Medicare Advantage plans. VIP Care focuses on preventive care and the management of chronic conditions, with the goal of keeping patients healthy and reducing hospitalizations. The clinic is currently accepting new patients.

VIP Care operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Following brief remarks, attendees gathered outside for the ceremonial ribbon cutting and were invited back inside for tours ahead of the public open house.

VIP Care officials said they are proud to be serving Cherokee County and look forward to building long-term relationships within the community.
