Melinda Allen Cushing, of Collinsville, AL passed away Friday, December 12, 2025.
The family will receive family & friends Saturday, December 20th from 12PM until the funeral service at 2PM at Perry Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sand Rock Cemetery.
Ms. Cushing was a retired teacher at Cedar Bluff School and Graduated from Jacksonville State University with a Master’s degree in English.
She is survived by her husband, Michael F. Cushing; sister, Elaine (Charles) Graves; brother, Michael Allen; sister-in-law, Kelley (Keith) McGatha & a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis & Sarah Allen; brother, Billy Allen; nephew, Steven Michael Allen; father/mother-in-law, Jackie & Myrtle Cushing; niece, Melissa McGatha.
The family requests flowers or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
