Arab Teen Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Marshall County

Arab-A two-vehicle crash Friday morning in Marshall County has resulted in the death of a 14-year-old Arab teenager, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, on Cranford Road near Freeport Lane, about five miles northeast of Arab. Troopers said a 2011 Ford Fusion, in which the teen was a passenger, collided with a 2024 Peterbilt tractor-trailer.

The tractor-trailer was driven by Christopher M. Robinett, 52, of Florence.

The 14-year-old sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where the teen later died. The driver of the Ford Fusion, William A. Bazzel, 34, of Arab, was also injured in the crash and taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. Troopers reported that Bazzel was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

No additional details were immediately available. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the crash.
