SPRING GARDEN – The Spring Garden Lady Panthers sank eight 3-pointers as a team in a 61-18 area basketball blowout of Faith Christian on Friday.

Maya Jennings led the Lady Panthers (3-2) with 17 points, including three 3-pointers. She also had five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Addie Word added 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Kylie Bates connected on a pair of treys and had 11 points, eight assists, and five steals. Laci Jo McMurray made two 3-pointers and came away with nine points, four steals, and two assists. Carmen Truss tallied seven points, two rebounds, and an assist. Lanie Ragsdale finished with five points.

Spring Garden led 10-8 at the end of the first quarter, then went on a 21-4 run in the second to take a 31-12 lead at halftime. The Lady Panthers led 47-18 at the end of three quarters and closed out the game on a 14-0 run for the final.

Spring Garden hosts Cedar Bluff on Thursday.
