Cherokee County Deputies Complete Advanced Hostage Rescue Training

Cherokee County-Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver announced that members of the Sheriff’s Office have completed advanced SWAT Level 3 Hostage Rescue training, further enhancing the agency’s ability to respond to high-risk and complex situations.
The specialized certification underscores the Sheriff’s Office’s ongoing commitment to preparedness, professionalism, and public safety. Investigator Smith and Corporal Cosby, both members of the Emergency Response Team, represented the agency during the intensive course.
Officials say the deputies’ pursuit of advanced tactical training strengthens their readiness for critical incidents and reinforces the department’s dedication to protecting the citizens of Cherokee County when rapid response is essential.
