In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Lori Hill, age 47 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of 2nd degree theft of property.

Mitchell Battles, age 49 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of revoked bond.

Kimberly Griffin, age 36 of Centre, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of 3rd degree domestic violence.

Wanda Chapman, age 54 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Austin Knowles, age 27 of Rome, Georgia, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 100 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
