Some Area Christmas Parades Rescheduled Due to Forecasted Rain

With rain expected Monday evening, some local communities have announced schedule changes for their Christmas parades.

In Piedmont, the annual parade—originally planned for Monday night—has been moved to Thursday, December 4th, at 6:00 p.m. City officials say the decision was made to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for participants and spectators. The city expressed appreciation for the public’s understanding as organizers work around the weather.

The City of Hokes Bluff has also adjusted its plans, moving its parade to Tuesday evening. Lineup will begin at 5:00 p.m., with the parade set to start at 6:00 p.m.

Officials in both communities remind residents that temperatures are expected to be cold on both nights. Parade goers are encouraged to dress warmly and bring jackets, gloves, blankets, and anything else needed to stay comfortable while enjoying the festivities.
