Lady Warriors open Battle at the Beach with win over 2A, No. 2 Cold Springs

GULF SHORES — The Cherokee County Lady Warriors opened the Battle at the Beach girls basketball tournament with a 57-35 victory over Class 2A, No. 2 Cold Springs 57-35 on Saturday.

Nevaeh Gaidurgis led Cherokee County (4-0) with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. Brooklynn Bruce also netted 13 points and had three steals. Ellisan Givens added 12 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, and five steals

Deannia Starr delivered six points, five rebounds, four steals, and five assists. Jolie Alexander finished with six points, six rebounds, and two assists.

Play continues in the tournament on Monday.
