Crossville Woman Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges in Etowah County
ETOWAH COUNTY — A Crossville woman is facing serious drug trafficking charges after authorities discovered more than a pound of methamphetamine during a traffic stop, officials announced Monday.

Agents with the Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit and the Marshall County Drug Task Force stopped 51-year-old Christi Peppers for a traffic violation on October 23. During the stop, investigators said they located 1.5 pounds of meth, Clonazepam, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm inside the vehicle.

Peppers was arrested and booked into the Etowah County Jail at 7:23 p.m. She is being held on a $100,000 cash bond. Authorities noted that Peppers was on federal probation at the time of the arrest.
Officials say additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
