Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce Hosts Monthly Breakfast, Highlights Community Growth and Upcoming Events

CENTRE — The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce welcomed business leaders, community members, and guests Thursday morning for its monthly breakfast meeting, held at the Chamber office on the Gadsden State Cherokee campus. The gathering, held on the second Thursday of each month, provides an opportunity for local professionals to network, share updates, and learn about ongoing initiatives in the county.

Chamber Executive Director Joy Perry opened the event by welcoming attendees, followed by a prayer of blessing and the Pledge of Allegiance. Breakfast was provided by Jack’s.

After the meal, Member Manager Leann Lockridge shared updates on upcoming Chamber activities and community events. Among them were plans to celebrate Cherokee County’s 190th birthday in January, as well as a special Christmas performance by the Gadsden State Choir in the Richard Lindsay Arena this December.

This month’s speaker was Jamie Abernathy, loan officer with Union State Bank. Abernathy thanked the Chamber for its support of the local business community and discussed the financial services offered by the bank. He encouraged residents and business owners to reach out for assistance with lending and banking needs.

The Chamber also highlighted the many benefits available to its business members.
