Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Leaders Complete FBI-LEEDA Command Training

Cherokee County-Two members of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office have completed advanced leadership training through the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA), Sheriff Jeff Shaver announced this week.
Chief Investigator Brian Gilliland and Sergeant Daniel Holcomb recently graduated from the FBI-LEEDA Command Leadership Institute, an intensive, week-long program designed for law enforcement supervisors and command staff. The training emphasizes leadership development, effective communication, ethical decision-making, and strategies for managing the evolving challenges of modern policing.

According to the FBI-LEEDA program, the Command Leadership Institute aims to strengthen an agency’s management practices by equipping leaders with tools and techniques to guide personnel, improve organizational culture, and enhance community service.
Sheriff Shaver praised the deputies’ commitment to continued professional development.
“We take great pride in investing in training and development for our leadership team,” Shaver said. “Strong, well-trained leaders create a positive impact throughout the entire organization, which ultimately helps our deputies better serve and protect the citizens of Cherokee County.”
