Monday evening, during the Cedar Bluff Town Council meeting, a resolution was approved dissolving the current planning commission. Mayor Warren explained there were no records on when the current members were appointed or when their terms expired. The Council concurred and the resolution passed. 
Then the Mayor and Council appointed new members to the Commission, with terms set. For the 1-year term, no one has been appointed. Kevin Ray was appointed to fill the 2-year term, 3 year Chris Vaughn, 4 year terms will be Mayor Bill Warren and Council Member Loretta Higgins, 5 year is Mark Perry and Robert Baylis, and 6 year terms Bill Holland and Dejuana Long. 
Mayor Warren said the Law permits him to make 6 of the 9 appointments, but he chose to allow each Council Member to appoint 1 person from their districts.
